First Impressions, Second Chances, and Third Times the Charm?

So today/tonight was not a very good evening, having not felt well all day as that continues to this very moment. However, illness does not stop things from happening around you. Earlier in the evening, the wife suggests we go see Bridesmaids tonight; a movie we've been putting off for quite some time, yet one we were determined to see in theatres before the long blank until a Blu-Ray release. I was unsure how I felt about it coming out of the movie, and even to this moment I feel very mixed towards it. Rarely has a movie been made that has such contradicting halves (as far as story elements and flow are concerned). I will say for sure that the film definitely has some great moments with Chris O'Dowd, more commonly known as Roy Trenneman in the great British Comedy The IT Crowd. I will continue to root for him to get some more starring roles after this movie, as he does a good job as the "him" to Kristen Wig's "her". I feel that 3.5/5 is appropriate, and definitely worth a matinee or rental.

Upon arrival at home, I decided to load up Final Fantasy XIV and give that another go round, like I promised I would. I've decided that it's a game that you must be in a certain mindset to play, because it definitely doesn't grab me right away. I'm still sitting here, 2 hours later, and all I've done is picked up two additional quests that need to get done, of those neither will be completed tonight. I will say this about the game, though: once you get through the initial steep learning curve, and once you've found that mindset, the game is quite interesting and engaging. Like I mentioned before, I do have a 30 day key if someone wants to try it out with me. XBOX 360 controller or any other 12 button controller added to the PC recommended, as the controls were clearly made for that first and foremost.

If you haven't yet, please start watching an anime on Netflix. There are plenty of spectacular ones. Clannad, Eden of the East, Fruits Basket, and Shuffle!, just to name a few! Give them a chance, you won't regret it.

Why does it not surprise me that the first movie review I read on here was for the movie Bridesmaids?
