I was going to start this post with a small overview of today's topic in the title, but I first have to let off a minor bit of disappointment. I just opened a snack pack of fruit snacks, only to have been robbed of delicious gooey treats. This bag contained no more than 3 actual gummies, compared to the normal 7-9 that are wrapped within colorful packaging. I would be more furious had I acquired them from a store, but seeing as I have what some would call the "hook-ups", I'll let it slide. It's not as if I can't just get another bag.
Anyways, that was a smidge off topic from what I'd like to mention tonight, albeit not very far. As the title suggest, we often come across roads with multiple paths. Whether it be something worth giving serious conversation and an extraordinary amount of time to, such as job relocation and/or relationships, or a minor occurrences like what can of soda to purchase from the machine. This one will fall under the latter, as we discuss what to make the focus of the next few posts.
I first wanted to chronicle my jaunts around 1940s Los Angeles, but seeing as I'm almost done with L.A. Noire, it wouldn't be a very long or enticing entry. I won't get into the details, but it's a definite rental or purchase, depending on your opinions regarding side missions or downloadable content.
Instead, let's make this a little expose on starting out in Final Fantasy XIV, and see where that takes us. Now some of you might be rolling your eyes, saying to yourself, "Wasn't that game two shades of awful, with three more in the suck family?" While you may be true, this game is still a true testament of what can be done properly in an MMO, and I aim to spend the next week explaining what this game offers me.
Here's what I propose I will happen.
1. No less than 20 hours spend on it this week (starting from the moment I push play after I create my character)
2. I'll be making documented notes in the quite awesome SWAG journal found in the now $25 Collector's edition.
3. If anyone wants to take the plunge with me, I received a 30-day free code, and you are more than welcome to play with me, first come first serve, but we will need to make sure your computer can handle the game.
4. ?
5. Profit!
This should be fun, after we're done with this, maybe we'll look into other games, maybe we'll have some random posts here and there, we'll just see where this takes us!
